Privacy Policy

1. Who is responsible

GenoSynth GmbH, Magnusstr. 11, 12489 Berlin, Germany, is responsible for processing personal data on this website. Contact: request@genosynth.com.

2. Website hosting and technical data

The commercial website uses IONOS hosting. Preview versions may be hosted with Netlify for review. The hosting provider processes technical request data, such as IP address, access time, requested URL, browser information and error logs, to deliver the website and protect it against misuse. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing a reliable and secure website under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Technical data is retained only as long as needed for these purposes or applicable legal obligations.

3. Inquiries and applications

If you contact us by email, we process the information you provide to assess and respond to your inquiry. This may include your name, company, email address, optional phone number, message, and the website page and inquiry button from which your inquiry was sent. For pre-contractual requests, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; for other business correspondence, it is our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. If processing requires your consent, Article 6(1)(a) GDPR applies.

Information entered in the online form is sent to GenoSynth only when you submit it and online submission is available. The form delivers your inquiry to our company mailbox and sends an automatic receipt confirmation to the email address you provide. If online submission is unavailable, you can contact us by email. Email is not end-to-end encrypted by default. You can request an NDA before sending confidential technical information.

Applications sent by email are used to review your application and communicate with you. We retain inquiries and application data only as long as needed for the relevant purpose, applicable retention obligations or the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

To prevent spam and duplicate submissions, we temporarily store pseudonymised email identifiers, request identifiers and timestamps. Request identifiers expire after 24 hours, and expired records are removed when the service is next used. Message contents are not stored in this anti-abuse record. This processing serves our legitimate interest in operating a secure contact service under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

4. Optional Google Analytics

Google Analytics 4 loads only after you select Accept analytics on the commercial GenoSynth domain. It helps us understand site use and loading performance. It is disabled on preview sites and in local development.

The legal basis for optional analytics is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can reject analytics and use the website, or withdraw your choice through Cookie settings in the footer. Your consent choice is stored in your browser for up to one year. Analytics cookies are configured with a lifetime of up to one year. Browser settings may shorten this period.

Analytics may process page views, browser/device information and performance measurements. Inquiry text, names, email addresses and confidential project information must not be included in analytics events. Advertising personalisation and Google Signals are disabled in this implementation.

Google may process data outside the European Economic Area. Details of Google's processing and applicable transfer arrangements are available in Google's Privacy Policy and Google Analytics privacy information.

5. Fonts, images and external links

Fonts and website illustrations are served from this website. The website does not load Google Fonts or an embedded Google Maps service. External company and LinkedIn links open third-party websites only when you follow them. Their privacy policies then apply.

6. Content editor

Authorised staff use Decap Turbo and GitHub for content editing. These services process editor account information and edit history. This editor is separate from the visitor inquiry form.

7. Your rights

Subject to the applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, deletion or restriction of processing and exercise your right to data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent for future processing. You may also lodge a complaint with a competent data protection supervisory authority. Contact us at request@genosynth.com.

8. Updates

We update this notice when our website or the way we process personal data changes.
