Our approach

What happens between your first email and the compound arriving

Most of what goes wrong between your team and a synthesis partner isn't chemistry. It's not knowing where the project stands. This page is what we do about that.

Explore our six-step process, from your first inquiry to agreed scope, synthesis and delivery.

01

The six steps

1 · Your enquiry submitted Send the structure, or just the question if the structure comes later. Quantity and purity if you know them; if you don't, say so. That's an answer too. If you'd rather sign an NDA before any technical detail, say that instead and we start there.

2 · 24-hour technical response A chemist reads it. Not a sales desk: one of the people who would do the work. They check synthetic routes, starting materials, the analytics the target will need, the realistic scale, and the parts that are genuinely uncertain, which are usually the interesting ones.

3 · Proposal Scope, deliverables, timeline, price. What is fixed and what is not is stated plainly: including the risks we can see and the ones we cannot yet.

4 · Synthesis You speak directly with the chemists doing the work. When something changes you hear it early, including when a route fails. Bad news travels first, with the data behind it and the alternatives we would suggest.

5 · Scale-up, if the programme goes that way From first quantities toward 100 g and kilogram scale. Same team, same technical responsibility. Nothing is handed over to a different group halfway through.

6 · Delivery The product and all relevant documentation, formatted so it goes straight into your own records.

Our pricing approach

Where the chemistry is sufficiently defined, we quote a fixed outcome rather than selling hours. You know the number before the work starts.

Where important questions remain, we begin with a feasibility or milestone phase. A smaller, bounded piece of work that answers the open question, followed by a proper quotation on the other side of it.

We tell you which of the two your project is before you commit. We identify uncertainty early and price it openly. We do not carry every risk, and we say where the line falls.

03

What we always do

  • Provide a 24-hour technical response
  • Tell you when something goes wrong, with the data
  • Follow safety regulations without exception
  • Start from the chemical reality: route and risks before price
04

What we never do

  • Break a contractual agreement
  • Promise a timeline we have not checked against the route
  • Hide uncertainty behind a confident schedule
  • Leave partners or suppliers without updates when a challenge arises
  • Manipulate analytical data
  • Share confidential project information without authorisation

Any additional costs for agreed expedited work or reserved resources are discussed before the work begins.

05

What we commit to

Honest communication and a 24-hour technical response. Fast contracting with less bureaucracy. Professional support from a chemist, not an account manager. An open price structure, with a breakdown on request.

The delivery timeline is agreed separately, based on the route, scope and experimental work required.

06

When the chemistry misbehaves

Published procedures can fail in the lab. A purification that works at 200 mg may fail at 20 g. Identifying the cause and adapting the process is part of our work.

What changes in that case isn't whether you hear about it, but how quickly. You get the result, the data, our reading of why, and the alternatives we would try - usually within the same week, not at the end of the project.

On new chemistry we guarantee response time, not delivery time. A timeline that depends on a route nobody has run yet cannot honestly be guaranteed by anyone, and we would rather say so than write a date we do not believe.

On established supply we guarantee the delivery schedule. Once a process is proven and documented, quantities and dates are part of the supply agreement. That is the difference the third stage buys you.

Tell us what you need to make or achieve.

Share a target structure or describe your goal. A chemist will help define the next step.
